How to understanding business goals

As a UX / Product designer I need to understand business goals and it objectives before designing anything.

How to understand business goals?
– Discuss with stakeholders (Business leaders, Executives, Managers)
– Break down goals in to Measurable objectives ( Increasing sales by 20%, Reduce bounce rate )
– Understand target audience ( Their needs, preferences, and pain points.)
– Do competitor analysis ( What competitors are doing?)
– Review past performance and its result.
– Analyze past performance data, Current KPIs, and any challenges the company / business is facing
– Have detailed discussions with stakeholders about the project, including key deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.
– Create a roadmap on how your design strategy can support and enhance the specific business goals identified. (if a goal is to increase online sales, your design might focus on improving the user interface and user experience of the e-commerce platform.)
– Aligning your design objectives with business goals.
– Plan for flexibility in your design strategy to accommodate market and technological changes
– Schedule regular check-ins with stakeholders to review progress and do the incremental changes if required.

By understanding the business goals I can make my design strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and fulfilling user needs.
